I discovered that the Norton 360 filter lock icon was still present and running. Going through System Preferences I opened up the network icon. After this happened I started looking for answers. I rebooted my laptop and discovered that I had no network access. After using Norton's UnInstaller and removing the program. Well after using it for a while I was not real happy with the network filtering, so I decided to uninstall the program. It makes you authorize the network filtering before you are allowed to install it. This new version is different than the old one. Norton realizes that it's about to be uninstalled, so it opens up it's own UnInstaller and proceeds to uninstall it’s software.Īfter I uninstalled the previous version I went ahead and installed my new subscription. The first thing I did was open up CleanMyMac X software, located Norton 360, and proceeded to uninstall it. I also have cleanmyMac X software installed. My subscription was about to expire, so I decided to renew it with the Norton 360 version that allows up to three computer usage. I was previously running Norton 360 with up to five computers usage. So, first off I am using a 2015 MacBook Pro, and running Catalina 10.1 5.7. This is to hopefully help anyone out who has run into the same Norton 360 problem as I have.
